Right on your doorstep, the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club Bar & Bistro offers relaxed seaside meals with ocean views, and live music on Sunday afternoons. For something more distinctive, Fuego by the Sea on Barcoo Road blends Argentinian, Spanish and Italian flavours with sweeping views stretching from Glenelg to Henley. For authentic Greek, Vasili's Table on West Beach Road is a local favourite — a lively taverna serving charcoal-cooked lamb and seafood with live Greek music.
A short trip up the coast, Henley Square is home to Stella Restaurant, a long-running favourite serving Italian classics with a modern European twist, alongside Estia, known for its seaside views over Henley Jetty and some of Adelaide's best sunsets.
This is really just scratching the surface — West Beach, Henley Beach and Glenelg between them have a vast range of cafes, restaurants and takeaway spots, so there's always something new nearby to discover during your stay.
WATERPARKS, SPORTS & ADVENTURE
The calm waters off West Beach make it easy to get out on the water in all kinds of ways. Wild Rides, based right on the foreshore, hires out jet skis, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Adelaide Jetski Adventures runs guided jet ski tours departing from West Beach and Glenelg — no licence or experience required. If sailing is more your pace, the Adelaide Sailing Club offers Learn to Sail lessons and regatta sailing right from the West Beach Parks Marina, which also has boat launching facilities if you're keen to head out fishing or book a half-day trip with Go Get'Em Fishing Charters. Prefer to try kiteboarding? Kiteboarding School Adelaide runs lessons for all levels on Seaview Road, one of the more sheltered, beginner-friendly launch spots in the area.
For those after a bit more adrenaline on dry land, West Beach Adventure runs Australia's largest aerial ropes and obstacle course, the Mega Climb, with challenges up to 28 metres in the air, a 36-metre giant swing, a 20-metre vertical leap of faith, and a viewing platform looking out over the Adelaide Hills and coastline. Kids will love The Big Wedgie inflatable water park and the go-kart track at West Beach Parks, while the West Beach Skate Park — one of the largest vert ramps in the Southern Hemisphere — is a short walk from the beach and lit for evening sessions. For something more relaxed, there's also a mini golf course and full 18-hole golf green right on site - amongst countless other amenities!

NATURE & ECO-TOURISM
Just along the coast, the Wara Wayingga-Tennyson Dunes Conservation Reserve protects one of the last remaining ancient dune systems on the Adelaide coastline. A 1.5km discovery trail winds through more than 50 native plant species, with resident birdlife and reptiles — a peaceful contrast to the beach itself, and a well-known local spot for birdwatchers, and an easy half-day outing. A continuous coastal path runs the length of the Adelaide beachfront, linking West Beach with Henley Beach, Grange and Tennyson — ideal for a walk, run or bike ride with the ocean the whole way, at your own pace and in either direction. For a different kind of stay, West Beach Parks (just a short walk from the apartments) offers glamping in raised eco-tents and safari tents, complete with real beds, decks and camp kitchen access — a fun day trip or overnight change of pace if you're travelling with family or want a taste of "camping" without giving up your comforts.
